Rituals for Empowerment: My Favorite Self-Care Practices

Introduction

Self-care is more than just a routine—it’s an act of self-love. When I take care of myself, I feel stronger, clearer, and more aligned with my goals. Over the years, I’ve developed rituals that help me stay grounded, confident, and in my flow. Some of these are simple, like making a cup of tea or going for a walk, while others go deeper into mindset work and healing practices.

Here’s a look at my favorite self-care rituals that keep me empowered.

1. Tea Rituals: A Moment to Pause & Reflect

Making tea is one of the simplest ways I reconnect with myself. There’s something about the warmth, the aroma, and the act of slowing down that helps me reset. I don’t have any specific brand recommendations, but I personally love herbal teas like:

Chamomile & Lavender – Calming and great for stress relief

Ginger & Turmeric – Warming and energizing

Hibiscus & Rose – Sweet and heart-opening

The key is to make drinking tea intentional—sit down, breathe, and take a moment for yourself.

2. Journaling: 30 Days to Get on Track

Journaling helps me clear my mind, track my progress, and stay focused. I don’t have my book out yet, but I do have my Mindset Workbook, which is a 30-day guide to getting on track. This is what I personally use to realign my goals and my mindset whenever I feel off balance.

3. Sound Healing: Finding Balance Through Music

I don’t have an official playlist (yet!), but I do use sound healing as part of my routine. Different frequencies have different effects on the body, and I find that playing 528 Hz (for self-love) or 432 Hz (for peace) really shifts my energy.

I’ll be putting together a YouTube playlist with some of my favorite healing sounds—stay tuned for that! In the meantime, I recommend finding instrumental music that makes you feel calm and centered.

4. Facial Steams & Spa Rituals: Releasing Tension & Clearing Energy

As an esthetician, skincare is a huge part of my self-care. I know firsthand how taking care of your skin is more than just looking good—it’s about feeling good, too. One of my favorite at-home spa treatments is a facial steam, which helps clear my skin and my energy.

Here’s my go-to method:

Boil water and add eucalyptus or peppermint (for a refreshing effect).

Add rose petals & chamomile (for relaxation).

Place a towel over your head and breathe in the steam for 5–10 minutes.

I’ll be posting a picture soon of me in esthetician mode—because this is what I do! Stay tuned for my favorite product recommendations as well.

5. Moving My Body: Walks & Dance Breaks

When I feel stuck, stressed, or just need a boost, I go for a walk or turn on some music and dance. Movement is one of the best ways to shake off heavy energy and reconnect with yourself.

Walking helps me clear my mind and reset.

Dancing helps me tap into my joy and creative flow.

Stretching helps me feel more in tune with my body.

If you’ve been feeling off, get up and move! Even five minutes can make a difference.
